During Los Angeles Comic-Con, actors Kevin Conroy and John Glover dropped the news that a Batman: The Animated Series (BTAS) audio drama was in the works. The story would be written by BTAS writer, Alan Burnett.
Conroy and Glover will reprise their roles as Batman and Riddler respectively. Mark Hamil hasn’t been announced as returning his role as the Joker. With HBO Max’s Batman: the Audio Adventures feeling more like a Marvel movie with its more light-hearted tone, but with more adult themes, a BTAS audio drama continuing the adventures of the caped crusader from the series might be a return to form for the character and his dark and gritty world.
More details are available on Hollywood Reporter’s website along with more Batman-related projects, news and announcements. Edward Nygma “understands he’s on the spectrum,” says his voice actor. Which spectrum remains to be seen heard.
