I’m going to be up front and say that this last part didn’t really deliver, in terms of an ending. Last week I discussed Orson Scott Card’s M.I.C.E. quotient and how this part would most likely be about the two brother’s forgiving each other. While that did happen, it just wasn’t what I was expecting. I was expecting a little more drama. The listener learns about one brother’s change of heart off screen.

When we see him next he’s completely changed. A scene showing him change would probably fix the problem. Of course the danger with that is monologuing. The other brother had a dialogue with a bartender in the last scene of the third part, so why couldn’t the brother who had a change of heart not talk to someone. Perhaps the girl they met at the club that seemed to know them. The shortness of the episode may also play a role in the unsatisfying ending. They fulfilled the promise to the reader, it just felt insignificant in its execution.
